Meet Angie
Angie is a Florida Licensed Midwife (LM) and a Certified Professional Midwife (CPM) and has been attending birth centers and home births for nearly 10 years. Her passion for midwifery and childbirth options began when she was pregnant with her first child in 1994, and continued through her experience with out-of-hospital and hospital births. She believes that all women deserve to give birth in the way and in the setting that they wish. She is passionate about empowering women to be well-educated about their health, their bodies, and their options during pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period.
Angie graduated from the Florida School of Traditional Midwifery in Gainesville, FL, one of only 9 MEAC-accredited midwifery programs in the U.S., and has worked with many midwives in North Florida, from Tallahassee to Gainesville, to Jacksonville. With certifications in both the Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR), coupled with her intensive training as a midwife, she is fully prepared to support women in the childbearing year in a safe and serene environment. She is excited to bring her knowledge, skill, and more childbirth options to the Lake City area. Angela Fennell is a midwife at Lake City Birth in Lake City FL.
Angie lives in the Branford, FL area and is the proud mother of three young adults: Patrick, Haley, and Austin.
